Quote of the day:
Charles to a coworker: “Wait, why am I the worst?”
Exhibit A:
As his coworker, Charles is quite the social creature and I do consider him a friend. So when he approached me, three weeks ago, to see if I wanted to accompany him for a couple movies, I said I would. I then suggested that we purchase the tickets through Costco, in order to save a bit of cash. Luckily, Charles has a Costco membership and confirmed he would indeed pick-up the tickets that weekend. But he demanded a reminder to refresh his memory (not to mention to actually go and buy the tickets).
I did just that: twice actually! Hours later I received a series of text messages from Charles. None of which pertained to our movie date. However; one would think Charles would have remembered to purchase the tickets. I was wrong. Monday came and guess what……no tickets. L
There were a few times during the following week where Charles said he would go to Costco after work to grab the goods, yet that never happened. He finally assured me he would get the deal done and give me a call on Sunday to see the films. He lied to me. Not only did he not get the tickets, but he saw one of the films without me. Tisk, tisk Charles.
At the beginning of week three, Charles stated we would go to the nearby Costco during lunch and get these tickets once and for all. Monday didn’t work. Tuesday I was busy. Finally Wednesday came around and Charles confirmed we would make the trip. An hour before we were supposed to depart…..Charles found out his Costco membership had expired.
No tickets…….
End to a story that had no beginning,
Once and for all, I rest my case that indeed, Charles is the worst!
